The key features give you convenient access to schedule appointments, view medical records, and communicate securely with your healthcare provider.

Although the patient portal can be used in many ways, there are three moments when the patient portal will be the most efficient: 

1: (Re)filling prescriptions. The portal is optimized for patient use. Patients can log in easily. They send a single message to their clinician. They receive their prescription in just a couple of days.

This is especially helpful for patients who are consistently on the same medications. It helps them stay on top of their schedule. 

2: Following up on lab results. The portal allows patients to see lab results immediately when they become available. This provides patients with results days faster than calling would. However, it can take up to 10 days for the clinician to review and add notes to the lab results. All critical labs will be addressed promptly. 

3: Asking clinical questions. It’s best to send any clinical questions through the portal. You can reach your clinician at the click of a button there. Of course, if it’s an emergency, it’s best to call 911. But if you have a non-urgent question or just want your clinician’s perspective, the portal is a great option.

If you can see your message in your patient portal, it has been received by your clinical team. Your clinical team will respond within 72 hours, but very often they will reply before the 72-hour mark.
